FORMING DEVICE FOR OPTICAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an optical element having improved average build and surface accuracy by ensuring the positioning of an optical element blank at the time of heating. SOLUTION: A cylindrical holder 10 holds the optical element blank 11, thereby preventing the contact of the optical element blank 11 and upper and lower dies 8, 9 at the time of heating and preventing the adhesion of the components vaporized from the optical element blank to the upper and lower dies. The holder 10 is hoisted from the upper die 8, by which the position of the optical element blank 11 is stabilized and the average build and surface accuracy is improved.
