Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keeping cool structure for side part of underground storage tank that can reduce number of component parts required for works at a construction site, while making the difference in degree of keeping cool (the difference in level at keeping-cool panels) almost nil. SOLUTION: In a keeping-cool structure for side wall of underground storage tank, wherein a plurality of segments 10 each bent in a dogleg shape are arranged in an annular shape with a pair of internal faces 10a, 10b thereof facing inwardly and keeping-cool panels 20a, 20b and 20c are attached to each of the paired internal faces 10a and 20b, while membranes are mounted on the keeping-cool panels 20a, 20b and 20c; the keeping-cool panels 20a and 20b arranged on the segment 10 with the bending part of the segment being a boundary are such that are obtained by cutting a single piece of keeping-cool panel. Therefore, there is no difference in level (difference in degree of keeping cool) between the adjoining keeping-cool panels 20a and 20b while the membranes are not forcibly deformed because of difference in level. As a result, fatigue strength is improved for the membranes.
