Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever unit that can manually release the shift in a lock state and that is hardly influenced by the restriction of the space for disposing other members, resulting in efficient use of the space. SOLUTION: An interlock member 20 operated by a knob button of a shift lever 12 is allowed to be set in a shift lock state by means of a detent member 22, for restricting movement, of the interlock member 20 and a restricting member 72 at a parking range position. The restricting member 72 is operated, via connection means, by an actuator connecting member 70 driven by an actuator 48. A manual operating mechanism allows the restricting member 72 disconnected from the actuator connecting member 70 by the connection means to be movable to a shift lock release state.
