DEVICE FOR PREVENTING FLAW ON WORKING LINE OF WIRE ROD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of flaws on wire rods through mutual contact by making powdery material adhere to the wire rods through contact with an adhesion part of powdery material in a powdery material packed part with consequent sure adhesion of powdery material on the surface of wire rods. SOLUTION: A lubricating device 14 located between a wire drawing mill 10 and a take-up reel 11 has a powdery material box 15 packed with dry powdery material in the interior; in the box 15, a pair of a first roller 16 and a second roller 17 are each mounted freely rotatably. The first and the second rollers 16, 17, in company with passing of a wire rod, is rotated by a frictional force with the surface of the wire rod, and the powdery material in the powdery material box 15 adheres by pressing to the surface of the wire rod and at the same time the powdery material in the powdery material box 15 is adequately stirred maintaining a uniform density accordingly. In addition to the adhering force pressed by rollers 16, 17, the wire rod is adhered with the powdery material all over in all the directions, upward and downward, right and left, and is in an extremely excellent condition as compared with the case of mere passing through a mass of powdery material.
