FIXING METHOD FOR OPTICAL FIBER AND JIG FOR FIXATION USED FOR THE FIXING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical fiber fixed to a fixing member from being disconnected by the temperature rise of the fixing member. SOLUTION: This fixing method of the optical fiber 3 fixes the optical fiber 3 to the fixing member 1 at the two parts of a tip part 3a for optically connecting the optical fiber 3 and a coated part 3b at the rear part. In this case, the tip part 3a of the optical fiber 3 is fixed first and then, in the state of adding the tension of an optical axis direction to the optical fiber 3 and in the state of heating the fixing member 1 to a desired temperature, the coated part 3b of the optical fiber 3 is fixed.
