MANUFACTURE OF TAPE LIKE OPTICAL FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply ultraviolet ray setting resin to an optical fiber without generating air bubbles in the resin by constituting sending side and receiving side connection parts so as not to be provided with a narrow part. SOLUTION: The sending side connection part 7a is provided with a valve 11 and the valve 11 becomes the lid of the sending side connection part 7a at the time of separating the sending side connection part 7a and the receiving side connection part 7b. On the other hand, the receiving side connection part 7b is not provided with the valve 11 but is provided with a spacer 12 instead. The spacer 12 is provided with the inner diameter of 5 mm and it is the diameter almost similar to the receiving side connection part 7b. That is, for the presence of the spacer 12, the receiving side connection part 7b is not provided with the narrow part or a wide part whose diameter is rapidly changed from an entrance to an exit and is turned to the almost same diameter. Thus, the resin is supplied to the optical fiber with the minimum loss of the resin while suppressing the generation of the air bubbles.
