Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace which is constituted in such a way that molten slag can flow down on its internal wall surface and can prevent a blowing nozzle formed through its furnace wall to blow a gas into the furnace from getting clogged and from burning. SOLUTION: In a melting furnace 1 which is provided with a blowing nozzle 4 formed through its furnace wall 2a to blow a gas into the furnace and constituted to burn and melt an object to be melted supplied into the furnace 1 into molten slag S and to discharge the molten slag S through a slag hole by making the slag S to flow on its internal wall surface 2a, the front end of the nozzle 4 is protruded into the furnace 1 and, at the same time, the outer peripheral surface of the front end section of the nozzle 4 protruded into the furnace 1 is coated with a refractory 11 or a special casting.
