SOLUTION: A silica dispersion liquid incorporating a stabilizer is fed and a pH value of the silica dispersion liquid is made in a range of about 10.5-13.5, and a gelling agent is added to the silica dispersion liquid in order to induce a gelatification, and the gel obtained by the gelatification is extruded to form a material body, thus a silica material body is produced from the gel
