Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metabolic gas remover that has a simple structure and can surely remove metabolic gas from vegetables and fruits, and a refrigerator equipped therewith. SOLUTION: An activated carbon 10 that has different ability of metabolic gas adsorption between under dry conditions and under humid conditions is placed in a vessel having an air vent hole 11 and a ceiling plate for condensing water vapor in the air on its lower face to constitute the metabolic gas-removing unit 7. An opening 14 is formed at the readily cooled part of a cover 6 for closing the vegetable vessel of the vegetable chamber in the refrigerator and the metabolic gas-removing unit 7 is attached so that its ceiling plate is exposed to the opening 14. The activated carbon 10 is humidified with the condensed water dropping from the ceiling plate and the metabolic gas adsorbed is released, when the carbon is dried, to recover the adsorption ability. The released metabolic gas is exhausted, when the vegetable chamber is opened or from the opening 14 formed on the ceiling plate. The metabolic gas-removing unit 7 having the upper part opened is set to the lid body 6 for the vegetable vessel and the activated carbon may be humidified with the condensed water on the lid body 6.
