DATA INPUT/OUTPUT CIRCUIT AND DATA INPUT/OUTPUT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input/output circuit of a synchronous semiconductor memory device which outputs a plurality of data and then inputs these data to the other circuit during one period of the reference clock. SOLUTION: This data input/output circuit is provided with a non-duplicated clock generator 319, a data output circuit 301 and a data input circuit 305. The non-duplicated clock generator 319 generates a plurality of non-duplicated clocks in which the activation period is not duplicated with each other during the period of one externally given clock signal. The data output circuit 301 and data input circuit 305 selectively outputs a plurality of internal data signal responding to each non-duplicated clock and then inputs the data of the data output circuit 301 to the memory responding to the non-duplicated clock. Thereby, the data processing capability can be improved and thereby the total increase of power consumption can be controlled even when the number of data to be processed is expanded.
