SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a conductive metal strip to produce a plug contact element, its process is so designed that a starting strip 2 formed of copper or copper alloy having a large original thickness DA compared with a final thickness DE is prepared and at that time, the starting strip 2 has a layer 3 formed of tin or tin alloy and then, rolling deformation involving the reduction of the strip thickness down to a finish thickness D2 is carried out.
