Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector which does not statically electrify contacts even if an object electrified by static electricity approaches or makes contacts with them. SOLUTION: An electric connector 20 has an insulating housing 24 having outward projecting plate-like projection parts 32, 34 and 36, plural contacts 22 arranged in the lengthwise direction of the plate-like projection parts 32, 34 and 36, a conductive shell 44 to surround the plate-like projection parts 32, 34 and 36 and conductive wires 70 which are arranged along the tips of the plate-like projection parts 32, 34 and 36 outside of the tips of the contacts 22 and are connected to the shell 44. Since a distance between an object such as a finger electrified by static electricity and the contacts 22 is always larger than a distance between the object and the wires 70, the static electricity is discharged to the wires 70.
