CPU TEMPERATURE CONTROL CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain optimum CPU performance at a given CPU temperature under a CPU temperature control and to prevent hardware failure owing to a temperature rise of the CPU. SOLUTION: This circuit has a function for detecting the temperature of a CPU in real time and a function for selecting one STOPCLK signal corresponding to the temperature of the CPU out of STOPCLK signals to the CPU which have duty ratios adjusted suitable for respective preset CPU temperatures. As an example, the CPU temperature control circuit has a circuit which detects the CPU temperature and stores its information in real time, circuits (2, 3, 4, 7, and 8) which select a STOPCLK request suitable for the temperature, and circuits (5, 6, and 9) which generate timings of STOPCLK request signals having different duty ratios.
