Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein defect in wiring hardly occurs, wiring capacitance can be made small, and a the aperture rate can be improved. SOLUTION: A metallic thin film is formed on a surface of a glass board. This metallic thin film is to be used as gate wiring. After this metallic thin film is formed, the substrate is divided into plural rectangles 2. Since they are used as gate wiring, a divided width is set by calculating it from the specific resistance of the metallic thin film so that it does not become resistive for the wiring. Next, the rectangles 2 are bonded to each other with an insulating adhesive so that the surface A (metallic thin film surface) is brought into close contact with the surface B (the back). The rectangles as many as the gate wiring are bonded to each other to make a glass board having a metallic thin film on the end face. A new surface (surface C) of this glass board is polished for flattening. This substrate 10 can be made into an active matrix by forming signal wiring of source wiring, TFT, and picture element electrodes on the surface C. |
