SUPPORT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a plurality of units into a ring shape in the condition of graphing one unit with an erector head to make rotational movement possible by fixedly providing supporting metal fittings on an erector ring so as to support a unit for supporting structural body. SOLUTION: An erector head 8 and supporting metal fittings 9 are provided on a rotationally movable erector ring 6 arranged on the rear end of an open type tunnel excavator 1. At first, a unit for supporting structure 7 is grasped with the erector head 8, rotationally moved by a prescribed angle, the next unit 7 is joined together by bolts, it is supported with the supporting metal fitting 9, thereafter the ring is rotationally moved in order by prescribed angles so as to assemble a plurality of units 7 into a ring-shape. In the units 7, there is various sorts of different lining roughness, the ring formed out of units 7 is rotationally moved, so as to move the unit 7 having the finest lining roughens to the loose position of the natural ground. Consequently, the ring is formed in the condition of grasping one unit 7 with the erector head 8, and various units 7 constituting the ring can be arranged on the appropriate places.
