DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING INTERFERENCE COMPONENT IN TWO-DIMENSIONAL CAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply highly precise interference verification also to general components other than sheet metal components in a two-dimensional(2D) CAD. SOLUTION: An interference verification preprocessing part 41 reads out component shape data from a storage part 30 and calculates an overlapped area in which the rectangular areas of respective components in respective projected faces of a three-face drawing are overlapped. When the overlapped area calculated by the preprocessing part 41 exists in all projected faces, a 2D interference verification part 42 calculates the crossing areas of respective outside shapes of respective components in respective projected faces. When the crossing areas calculated by the verification part 42 exist in all the projected faces, an interference area solidification verification part 43 prepares a cylindrical solid by scanning each crossing area vertically to a projected face corresponding to the crossing area, calculates the product set of all cylindrical solids, and when the produce set is not an empty set, judges the existence of interference.
