OBJECTIVE LENS DRIVE DEVICE FOR OPTICAL PICKUP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens drive device for an optical pickup providing a rotation allowable range of a lens holder without an inner yoke and also setting the rotation allowable range of the lens holder wider. SOLUTION: In the objective lens drive device 1, a stopper mechanism 7 providing the rotation allowable range of the lens holder 2 is constituted of lens hold parts 25, 26 formed on the lens holder 2 and abutment parts 71, 72 formed on a cover 6 covering the upper surface 231 of the lens holder 2. The abutment parts 71, 72 are provided with terminal edges 612, 613 of an opening 611 formed on the cover 6 and end surfaces 631, 632 of a get-into preventive projection 63 prolonging from the terminal edges 612, 613 to an axial line directional lower side. When the lens holder 2 exceeds to rotate, the lens hold parts 25, 26 are abutted on the abutment parts 71, 72, and the over rotation of the lens holder 2 is controlled.
