INVERTER FOR COOKER, AND COOKER USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce current at the time of switching of a switching element to reduce a switching loss by generating the maximum value of current flowing during one period of switching element electrification before switching operation of the switching element. SOLUTION: A capacity value of the first capacitor 12 is made about 3 μF, and a capacity value of the second capacitor 13 connected between alternating current side input terminals of a rectifying bridge is set to be substantially same to the capacity value of the first capacitor 12 for smoothening. The capacity value of the capacitor 12 is set relatively small so as to lower a discharge constant to reduce current at the time of switching of a switching transistor 11. A terminal for input to a synchronous circuit for synchronizing an oscillating circuit inside a control circuit 5 is connected to an input terminal (a) of a reactor 3. Since a switching loss of the switching transistor 11 is reduced by about 20%, a cooling fan is not required.
