Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery characteristic evaluation method capable of evaluating the characteristics of a battery easily and accurately without impairing the appearance of the battery to be evaluated and a characteristic evaluation device suitable for that method. SOLUTION: In a method for measuring and evaluating the characteristics of a battery to be evaluated using a measuring instrument in which measuring terminals are connected to the positive and negative terminals of the battery to be evaluated, respectively, and to which the other end side of the measurement terminals are connected, a pulse voltage is applied across the measuring terminals. A characteristic evaluation device comprises a pair of measuring terminals 2a and 2b which brought in contact with the positive and negative terminals 1a and 1b of the battery to be measured 1, respectively, a measuring instrument 3 to which the other end sides of the measuring terminals 2a and 2b are electrically connected and which measures and evaluate the characteristics of the battery to be evaluated 1 with which the measuring terminals 2a and 2b are contacted, a pulse output circuit 4 which is connected electrically to the other end side of the measuring terminals 2a and 2b and applies a pulse voltage across the measuring terminals 2a and 2b, and a pulse control circuit 5 which controls output pulses the pulse output circuit 4.
