AIR-COOLED STEAM CONDENSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce building and operating costs by improving a cooling ability of a cooling air, preventing corrosions of an air passage wall, a blower and the like, and decreasing in size a steam condenser and in the capacity of the blower. SOLUTION: The air-cooled steam condensing apparatus 1 comprises a steam condenser 3 installed in a steam condenser chamber 2, and an air passage 4 for supplying the air. A blower 8 is driven to suck an atmosphere from an air supply port 4b. And, a water is sprayed to the supply air via a water spray nozzle 9 at a passage wall 4a to lower an atmospheric temperature, and the air is cooled to become a steam saturated air. The steam saturated cooled air is exhausted from the passage 4, sucked into a fan guard, raised in the chamber 2 while cooling a surface of a condensing tube 6 from below the tube 6, and exhausted out of a system from an air exhaust port 2a of the chamber 2.
