PRODUCTION OF PLATE GLASS FOR ELECTRONIC PARTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for production capable of producing plate glass for electronic parts which is substantially free of chipping without damaging materials. SOLUTION: Plural plate glass materials are laminated onto a base plate 1 and are adhered by adhesives 3 to form a laminate. This laminate is divided and cut into prescribed sizes to form plural adjacent quadrangular prism bodies 5 on the base plate 1. The corner parts 5a facing each other of the adjacent quadrangular prism bodies 5 are simultaneously chamfered by tools 14 and the edge parts of respective pieces of the sheet glass 6 constituting the quadrangular prism bodies 5 are chamfered. The adhesion of the quadrangular prism bodies 5 are thereafter released, by which the quadrangular prism bodies are separated to individual sheets of the plate glass 6.
