SOLUTION: In a placing table provided with a rack 1, a shelf board 2 wider than the upper surface of the rack 1 and so arranged as to be slid on the rack 1, and a plurality of columnar or cylindrical roller members 3 arranged between the rack 1 and the shelf board 2 and for smoothly sliding the shelf board 2, a cord member 4 for connecting the rack 1 and the roller members 3 to each other has one end fixed to the rack 1 outside the movable range of the roller member 3 and the other end wound and fixed on the outer peripheral surface of the roller member 3, at least two cord members 4 are attached to each roller member 3, and they are distributed on the different sides of respective roller members 3 in the stretched state.
