Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an igniter for party candle which can be refilled liquid fuel easily in safety immediately after use while preventing misfiring due to conditioned air flow or abnormal firing after continuous firing of 30 min or longer. SOLUTION: The igniter 19 comprises a body and a firing section cartridge wherein a section for receiving the cartridge 3 at firing section is provided at one end of the body. The firing section cartridge comprises a heat resistance refractory flame part cap having a wick insertion hole and a vent, a heat resistant synthetic resin wick supporting tube being fitted to the flame part cap, a liquid fuel containing section, and the wick. The wick is supported by the wick supporting tube while projecting one end thereof through the wick insertion hole to the outside of the firing section cartridge. The other end of the wick is received in the liquid fuel containing section filled with liquid fuel having flash point of 50 deg.C or above.
