Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lining structure of a refining furnace excellent in durabil ity and capable of restraining 'the lowering of service life of the refining fur nace' caused by the severe operation condition of the refining furnace and 'the lowering of spalling resistance' caused by the intermittent use. SOLUTION: Two kinds of refractories (magnesia-spinel refractory and carbon-containing refractory) are combined to form a zebra structure. For example, as for the lining structure of the refining furnace as shown in the figure, the magnesia-spinel brick 1 and the carbon-containing refractory 2 are lined as diced pattern to form the zebra structure.
