Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool and a spool winding structure to wind a small diameter welding wire securely and orderly when the wire is wound fixedly to the spool. SOLUTION: A welding wire winding spool is structured so that it is provided with a cylindrical body 2 and flanges 3 located on both sides of it, and groove holes 5 are provided in the body 2 in circumferential direction and along the side surface of the flanges 3. A guide groove 9 extending from the bottom part of the groove holes 5 to the surface of the body along the flange 3 in the circumferential direction of the body on which the welding wire is wound is provided. The length L of the guide grooves 9 is 5 times or more a wire diameter (d), and the guide grooves 9 are formed so that their body side thickness surfaces are inclined toward the outside.
