OPERATION OF CONTINUOUS CASTING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the sure starting of operation of a continuous casting equipment providing plural molds without arranging many monitoring persons. SOLUTION: Order of the starting of pouring at the time of operating plural molds 2a, 2b is preset. When starting the operation, firstly, the pouring of molten metal into the mold 2a in the preceding order, is started (S1), and after waiting until the surface level of the molten metal inside the mold 2a reaches the starting level of drawing-out, the drawing-out of a cast slab from the mold 2a is started (S3). The pouring of the molten metal into the mold 2b in the following order is started under such a condition, that the drawing-out of the cast slab from the mold 2a in the preceding order continues from the starting time till a prescribed time elapses without any trouble (S9).
