COMPUTER INTERFACE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device which can secure the connection between a computer system that excels in its cost and usability and a storage of a large capacity, by connecting selectively the interface device to a parallel port of the computer system or a port of the PCMCIA (personal computer memory card association). SOLUTION: This interface device is selectively connected to a parallel port of a computer system or a port of the PCMCIA. That is, a 25-pin connector 16 is prepared at one of both end parts of a cable 14 in order to secure the connection to a parallel port interface of a host computer system 18 together with a 44-pin connector 20 prepared at the other end part to secure the connection to a 1st port 6 respectively. Then another cable is used to secure the connection to a host computer having a PCMCIA interface and also has a PCMCIA card to secure the connection to the host computer system.
