Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recording sensitivity, the chemical resistance and the water resistance by providing an undercoating layer of which the major component is silicon denatured polyvinyl alcohol, between a supporting body and a heat-sensitive recording layer. SOLUTION: On the recording surface side of a supporting body, an undercoating layer containing silicon denatured polyvinyl alcohol is provided. By this method, at the time of manufacturing, the reduction of a drying property and blister do not arise, and the chemical resistance from the rear surface side is improved. Also, since the supporting body is filled with the undercoating layer, uniform layers can be obtained for a heat-sensitive recording layer and a protective layer which are provided on the supporting body, and the chemical resistance from the face surface side is improved as well. The under-coating layer can be naturally formed of the silicon denatured polyvinyl alcohol alone, but when necessary, a pigment is added. As a using amount for the pigment, it is preferable to be approx. 5-50 wt.% based on the undercoating layer.
