Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strong computer housing which can resist the impacts and also can attenuate the high frequency vibrations by attaching a chassis assembly to a base assembly reinforced by a box-shaped beam via an isolation mount and then attaching the outer covers to both chassis and base assemblies. SOLUTION: A caster 26 is fixed to a bottom surface member 24 of a base assembly 14 of a computer housing 12, and the member 24 is engaged with an upper surface member 22 to form a box-shaped beam 28. An intermediate plate 18 extends upward from the assembly 14 to define a chassis part 40 and a main substrate part 38. Then the plate 18 separates the part 40 from the part 38 and also separates the components held in the part 40 against the part 38. A side cover assembly 70 consists of a pair of side covers 20 to cover a side face opening part 23 of the housing 12. Then the assembly 70 presses a processor unit of the plate 38 and a card to support the housing 12. |
