SOLUTION: This valve gear 4 for a fuel pump is formed at a reed valve plate 42 made of a metal and comprises a suction reed valve 44 having a bending part 44b between a base end part 44a and a valve part 44c; and a first valve member 41 making contact with a suction reed valve 44. A dent 41c is formed in a part of the contact surface of a first valve seat member 41 corresponding to the bending part 44b.
