SOLUTION: This monoclonal or polyclonal antibody is capable of recognizing an antigen existing on the surface of a fish roe. It is Pref'erable that the species of fish roe is judged using such a monoclonal or polyclonal antibody as to be capable of' recognizing only a fish roe belonging to a specific species and incapable of recognizing the other species of fish roe, and the reactivity of the monoclonal or polyclonal antibody to a specimen fish roe is confirmed according to the immune structure dyeing method or fluorescent antibody technique.
