FISHLINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fishline low in breaking elongation, excellent in breaking strength, knot strength, and abrasion resistance, and useful in e.g. the fishing industry, by setting the difference between the angle made by core line with sheath line and the twist angle of the sheath line at a specified value or smaller. SOLUTION: This fishline is a covering line which is obtained by entwining a synthetic fiber multifilament twisted yarn as sheath line 2 around core line 1, at least part of which is synthetic fiber multifilament yarn, a high-strength filament yarn >=15 g/d in tenacity, =450 g/d in initial modulus; wherein the difference between the angle θ made by the core line 1 with the sheath line 2 and the twist angle θ' of the sheath line 2 is =500,000 in weight-average molecular weight.
