SOLUTION: A coil 8 carried out from winders 6, 7 of a rolling line 3 is placed on transit coil stations 15, 14, next, a lifter 35 of a coil car 25 with a lifter waited on the coil station is raised, the coil is held, it is run to an transit coil station 16 installed on the down stream side, the lifter is lowered and the coil is placed, after then, it is returned to the transmit coil station on the upper stream side, the coil car with the lifter is reciprocated between the successively provided coil stations and the coil is transferred at a high speed.
