Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to inspect whether a defective part such as a punctured hole is present rapidly and increase the inspection efficiency on site where a water barrier sheet is spread in a storage recessed part used at a waste disposal installation. SOLUTION: When inspection whether a defective part is present in the sheet part 3c of a water barrier sheet spread over the excavated face of a storage recessed part which is formed by excavating a ground 2 for storing a waste, the end part 6 of the sheet is immobilized with a sheet holder 8 to create a hermetic space 10 between the sheet and the excavated face, and the on-site inspection device 12 is connected to a smoke inlet 17 provided on the sheet part 3c through piping 16. A visually recognizable smoke is generated by a smoke generator 14 and is sent into the hermetic space 10 by an air blower 13 to determine whether the smoke leaks through the sheet part 3c to its outside through visual inspection and thus the presence of the defective part is confirmed.
