EMERGENCY OPENING DEVICE OF AUTOMOBILE POWER WINDOW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an occupant to escape from a window before an automobile sinks in the water when the automobile falls in the sea or the river by actuating a current-carrying circuit so that an electric motor normally rotates in the opening direction of a power window when flooding not less than a prescribed level is detected in a car body. SOLUTION: A current-carrying circuit 3 normally rotates an electric motor 1 to open/close a power window of an automobile in the opening direction of a power window in an opening position O of a power window operating switch 2 having a neutral position N, the opening position O and a closing position C. The current-carrying circuit 3 reversely rotates the electric motor 1 in the closing direction of the power window in the closing position C of the power window operating switch 2. Here, a flooding sensor 16 to detect flooding not less than a prescribed level and an emergency switch means 18 are arranged in a car body, and the emergency switch means 18 actuates the current-carrying circuit 3 so that the electric motor 1 is automatically and normally rotated in the opening direction of the power window in response to a detecting signal of the flooding sensor 16.
