Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure sufficient cooling even for a steady low speed operation by disposing an external fan coaxially with the rotary shaft of an electric machine through a speed increasing gear fixed to the outside of an end bracket. SOLUTION: The rotary shaft 5 of a rotor is held rotatably by bearings 3 on the inside of the housing 4 of an electric rotating machine. The rotary shaft 5 serves as the input shaft of a planetary speed changing gear 9 and the rotary shaft 10 of an external fan 7 serves as the output shaft of the planetary speed changing gear 9. When the planetary speed changing gear 9 is fixed in the direction for increasing the speed of the output shaft and a speed increasing gear is operated, rotational angular speed of the rotary shaft 5 is increased and transmitted to the output shaft 10 secured with the external fan 7 which is thereby rotated at a higher rotational angular speed than the rotary shaft 5. Consequently, the external fan 7 can ensures a sufficient flow rate even when the flow rate is increased according to the speed change ratio of the planetary speed changing gear 9 in order to operate the electric rotating machine steadily at a low speed and thereby the cooling capacity can be enhanced. |
