Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-resistant epoxy resin which can be easily handled and can be produced by a simple way by reacting a polyepoxide compd. with a diphosphinic acid. SOLUTION: This phosphorus-modified epoxy resin has structural units derived from a polyepoxide compd. (A) having at least two epoxide groups per molecule and a diphosphinic acid (B) and has an epoxide value of O-1.0mol/100g. A pref. diphosphinic acid is represented by the formula (wherein R is 1-10C alkyl or aryl; R C is H or 1-4C alkyl; and R is 2-20C alkylene, cycloalkylene, or arylene). Pref. the phosphorus content is 0.5-9wt.% of the epoxy resin. The phosphorus-modified epoxy resin is obtd. by reacting a polyepoxide compd. with the phosphorus compd. represented by the fomrula. Pref. the reaction is conducted in a solvent at 70-130 deg.C. |
