DURABLE AND SMALL SIZE STATIC ELIMINATOR IN/COPIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size, flexible, and durable eliminator which is capable of being mounted on a narrow device part and excellent in static elimination effect. SOLUTION: In a copier, the electricity is eliminated from a copy paper 33 to be carried between paper sheet carrying devices along a paper sheet passage. The static eliminator comprises a thin and flexible supporting member 72 with a first length L1 suitable for extension across the paper sheet passage and a first width W1 to set the area to support a static elimination member 80 by L1. The static elimination member 80 has a second length L2 equal to L1 and a second width W2 larger than the first width W1 of the supporting member 72, and mounted on the supporting member 72. The static elimination member 80 comprises the paper sheet to be carried along the paper sheet passage and a conductive fabric to be mounted for elimination relation. The conductive fabric is formed of innumerable fine fibers. Each fiber has the conductive plating, each signet of the fabric contains the non-woven fabric of innumerable fine fibers, and forms the compressed and combined pile with extremely random directionality in individual fibers.
