MANUFACTURE OF TWISTED WIRE CONDUCTOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent strands from being loosened when machining is applied on the outer periphery of the twisted strands by expanding or shrinking the diameter of a die in response to the diameter of the strand. SOLUTION: Multiple strands are inserted into a die 4, and the strands are twisted into contact with each other. The prescribed gap G is provided between the upper and lower split die holders 5a, 5b. The upper die holder 5a is automatically moved downward or upward by a die holder lift mechanism 17, the imbalance of the strands is mitigated, and the inner diameter of the die 4 can be changed in response to the strand even if the diameter of the strand conductor is changed in the middle due to the tolerance of each strand. The inner diameter of the die 4 can be reduced after the abrasion of a die inner face 4c. The pressure to the strands is invariably kept nearly constant on the die inner face 4c, all strands are twisted in the uniform tension state, and the strands are prevented from being loosened when drawing is applied to strand conductors after they pass through a die finishing machine.
