Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attenuate vibration to be transmitted to the outside, to maintain high performance to vibratory impact from the outside and to satisfactorily perform recording and reproducing operation. SOLUTION: This device is the CD-ROM drive device capable of reproducing data at standard speed, 4-fold speed and 6-fold speed respectively. When a disk is loaded, TOC information is read out under the state of standard speed reproduction (ST1). Next, the state is shifted to 6-fold speed reproduction, and also the state of holding in a prescribed address (ST2). Then, whether the disk is eccentric or mass-eccentric is discriminated by utilizing a tracking error signal and a spindle motor control signal, etc., (ST3). When the disk is neither eccentric nor mass-eccentric, the reproducing speed is set to 6-fold speed, and on the other hand, when the disk is eccentric or mass-eccentric, the reproducing speed is set to 4-fold speed. In the case of the mass-eccentric disk, the occurrence of self-exciting vibration at the reproducing time is suppressed by lowering the reproducing speed. |
