Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved seal which prevents water from leaking out of the body of flushing equipment through its handle assembly. SOLUTION: A handle assembly, which comprises a socket 48 mounted on the body of flushing equipment and a handle 38 adapted to pivot on the socket 48, displaces a spring-loaded plunger 36 by the movement of the handle 38 to the inside of the body of the flushing equipment to thereby trip a relief valve 30 for ventilating a pressure chamber in order to open a valve and let flushing water flow from an inlet 12 to an outlet 14. A seal 78 positioned on the plunger 36 as well as mounted on a bushing 66 which holds the plunger 36 is formed with a plurality of circumferential sealing projected bodies 84, 86 and 88 which are axially spaced out and drawn inward so as to contact with the plunger 36 at axially spaced positioned thereof, and with indentations between one of the sealing projected bodies and the next for receiving lubricant.
