Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and lighten the whole of a device by reducing the width of the lateral direction of a cylinder main body. SOLUTION: A linear actuator 20 is provided with a cylinder main body 22 in which a groove part 69a extending along an axial direction is formed in the side surface part, a slide table 24 performing a reciprocating operation along the axial direction of the cylinder main body 22, a cylinder mechanism making the slide table 24 perform the reciprocating operation under the displacement action of a piston and a rail 26 form sensor mounting in which long grooves 98a, 98b for sensor mounting are formed and a restraining part 102a which is fitted and inserted along the groove part 69a and is held by the groove part 69a is provided.
