Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high-density bulky fabric that has both properties of bulk feeling and softness, and particularly peachy feeling, and furthermore has an excellent water-repellent effect like a lotus leaf. SOLUTION: This high-density bulky textile is produced by treating with hot water or alkali a islands-in-sea type of composite textile composed of at least three components, one of them being composed of hot-water soluble copolymerized polyester that contains 8-15mol% of 5-sodiumsulfoisophthalic acid and 5-40mol% of isophthalic acid and whose main acid component is isophthalic acid, and two or more of them being non-aqueous polymers of different shrinkage percentage, to dissolve or decompose the hot-water soluble copolymerized polyester for removal of the polyester, and subjecting the textile to hot shrinkage treatment.
