Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pollution-free pigment compsn. for a traffic paint which can be easily prepd., possesses excellent reflection brightness, resistances to weather and heat, and retroreflection by depositing an org. pigment on the surface of an inorg. pigment contg. a bismuth vanadate yellow. SOLUTION: This pigment compsn. comprises an inorg. pigment and an org. pigment deposited on the surface of the inorg. pigment, and bismuth vanadate yellow is used as a part of the inorg. pigment. In this case, the inorg. pigment comprises bismuth vanadate yellow as an indispensable component and, in addition, other inorg. pigment(s). Other inorg. pigments usable herein include titanium yellow, titanium dioxide, and calcium carbonate. The content of bismuth vanadate yellow is pref. 5 to 50wt.% based on the inorg. pigment. The above constitution can provide a pigment compsn. which, when used in a traffic paint, can yield a coating film possessing fluidity, reflection brightness, retroreflection, lightfastness and other properties.
