Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of ink to a neighboring surface by a method wherein solid ink sticks, whose phases are changed individually, are transported positively to an appropriate print head ink reservoir while the ink stick, which is appropriately oriented, is delivered to an appropriate ink reservoir almost continuously. SOLUTION: A housing 14 receives a plurality of solid ink sticks 16 to store them while a key plate is provided with a plurality of bottomless receiving ports 22A,... The bottomless receiving ports 22A,... are arrayed in lines while the respective lines are positioned above separated supplying channels. When the ink sticks are delivered to print head ink reservoirs 28 one by one, a pressure rod 26 moves the ink stick, remaining in the supplying channel, positively toward the delivering end 64 of the channel. The ink stick will not be adhered to the neighboring surface in the supplying channel 24 by a lateral force from the pressure rod 26 against the remaining ink stick. |
