PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of satisfying high dimension stability without causing shrinking and shape losing, eliminating the damage and degradation of fibers by the entanglement and friction of clothes, sufficiently washing water soluble stains and neatly washing up laundry further by suppressing not only the mechanical deformation of the laundry of wool or the like but also vibration. SOLUTION: To a receiving part 21 rotationally driven around a vertical shaft and arranged at a position separated from a rotary shaft in a radial direction, the laundry 24 held in a hung state is pressed by centrifugal force. By tilting the receiving part 21 to a vertical direction so as to be separated from the rotary shaft as approaching a lower part, tension is made to act on the laundry 24 by the centrifugal force. Washing liquid is supplied to the laundry pressed to the receiving part 21 and the washing liquid is discharged from the lower end side of the receiving part 21.
