CATHETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which can be safely, readily and quickly introduced into the entrance of the left coronary from artery of the arm, especially the brachial artery or the radial artery. SOLUTION: The catheter 1 has an outer diameter of up to 2.7mm along the whole length. The catheter main body 1a comprises a nearly linear main body 2 and a curved top part 3. The top part 3 comprises a nearly linear part 31 continued from the main body 2 through a bending part 4, a nearly linear part 32 continued from the linear part 31 through a bending part 4 curved to the opposite direction to the bending part 4, a nearly linear part 33 continued from the nearly linear part 32 through a bending part 6 curved to the same direction as the bending part 5, and a nearly linear utmost top part 34 continued from the nearly linear part 33 though a bending part 7 curved to the same direction as the bending part 5. An angle made by the main body 2 and the nearly linear part 31 is 90-150 degree and the nearly linear part 32 is formed so as to bring the nearly linear part 32 in contact with the wall of aortic ach at the opposit side of the left coronary entrance.
