METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EXPANDING VOLUME OF TROUGH FOR EXISTING WIRING LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To additionally store a new-installed wiring line group by mounting an expansion side wall on an existing side wall through a connection adapter to increase the volume of a trough in the trough for an existing wiring line to be arranged in the vicinity of a railway track. SOLUTION: A trough lid 22 to close an upper opening of a wiring line trough 1 of approximately U-shaped section in which the wiring group is stored is removed, and a lower fitting part 7 of a connection adapter 5 made of a wide flange beam is fitted to an upper end part 9 of each side wall 8 of the trough 1 at the position of a connection part 13 of the trough 1. An end part of a member 10 for side wall is fitted to an upper fitting part 6, and integrated with each other so as to be flush with the existing side wall 8 to newly install a side wall 11 for expansion and increase the volume of the trough 1. The new-installed wiring group is stored while the existing wiring group is stored, and the upper opening of the trough 1 can be closed using the existing trough lid 22, and the newly installed wiring group can be easily and additionally stored in the existing trough 1.
