OBJECT IDENTIFICATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object identification unit having a high reliability to prevent the occurrence of an erroneous operation by a noise. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a transmitter 1 for transmitting electromagnetic waves in which the frequency is repeatedly swept in a constant cycle, a receiver 2 for receiving the electromagnetic waves transmitted from this transmitter 1, and a 2-resonance tag 3 for resonating at two points of different frequencies within the sweep frequency band of the electromagnetic waves transmitted from the transmitter 1. Here, in the tag signal identification means 27 of the receiver 2, the change of the receiving signal at two resonant frequencies when an object to which the 2-resonance tag 3 is attached is passed through is detected, so that the passing of the object is automatically identified.
