Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device capable of sufficiently uniformly irradiating a transparency from the rear side. SOLUTION: This optical device 10 is provided with a housing 12 provided with a rear wall 35 and a light-passable front opening part 16, at least one light source 36 emitting the light forward and backward in the housing 12 and plural parallel convex lens surface groups 32 placed backward the light source 36, being a lenticular lens sheet 30 opposing the linear light source 36 and slenderly extending in the horizontal direction. The lens surface groups 32 includes the lens sheet 30 advancing along a certain path and forming a pattern geometrically following the outline of the light source 36 and a rear surface 34 for converting the light emitted backward from the light source 36 into forward direction behind the lens surface groups 32.
